TERMS & POLICIES
RESERVATIONS
It's important to make reservation in advance during the high season (December through April) or during special holidays.
Reservations will be accepted and processed via email or WhatsApp chat.
PAYMENT
After stating and agreeing all the terms of the travel services needed, we will share the banking account details to proceed with payment for the contracted services. The final confirmation email will contain the information related to cancellation policies that apply for each case as well as some travel advice.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Destination Latin America DMC has to do arrangements with multiple suppliers in advance to secure for your trip to Costa Rica, some of those payments or arrangements can't be refunded.
These are the general cancellation policies:
1. Written cancellation is done at least 60 days prior arrival date, 90% refund applies.
2. Written cancellation is done 59 to 45 days prior arrival date, 50% refund applies.
3. Written cancellation is done 44 to 31 days prior arrival date, 35% refund applies.
4. Written cancellation is done 30 days or less prior arrival date, no refund applies.

RESPONSABILITY / LIABILITY
We strongly recommend you purchasing appropriate life, accident and medical insurance to cover in case of injury or illness to you or your family during a trip. All expenses regarding insurance, medical needs or any other incidental charges, not included in the Final Itinerary, must be covered by the participants. Destination Latin America DMC, its associates or suppliers do not accept responsibility for losses, theft, additional expenses due to natural disasters, delay in airline schedules or any other major causes. Certain activities and sites are inappropriate for people with severe health problems or physical disabilities, it's an obligation of the traveler to be informed and to determine it's capability to participate.
Destination Latin America DMC has liability insurance as mandated by the law of Costa Rica to operate within its territory.
Last Minute Changes
Whenever the participant wants to add features to the package or tour, Destination Latin America DMC should look for optionals if available, if such changes apply, the costumer will cover extra expenses. No refunds apply for unused services during any of the excursions.
ENVIROMENTAL POLICY
Wildlife Protection Policy:
Aware of the value of biodiversity for sustainable development and the future of Costa Rica, and based on our love for all forms of life, and also considering our main activities, we encourage and implement the following measures for the protection of wildlife:
Wildlife Protection Support Policy:
We will provide support to MINAE regarding interventions for injured wildlife, complaints, and any other institution that needs to conduct any type of scientific research in the area or country for the benefit of these species, as long as the case is within the company's capabilities.
Wildlife Trade and Extraction Policy:
We reject all activities involving the sale and/or extraction of wildlife, and if we become aware of any such situation, we will file a corresponding complaint.
Respect for wildlife:
We do not keep wild animal species in captivity, we do not have artificial feeding stations, and we encourage our guests and collaborators to follow the regulations of the National System of Protected Areas (SINAC) when visiting a national park or any protected area. Furthermore, approaching nesting species or species that are in any way vulnerable is prohibited.
